The construction in the territory of Moscow Raceway racetrack has gained large scale momentum.

On October 16-18, 2009,Vladimir Leonov, a Viessmann Kiefer Racing pilot and the only Russian in MotoGP (250cc class) supported by Vector Racing Team, took part in the Australian MotoGP, the 14th round of the world motorcycle grand prix.

Vladimir was operated on Wednesday successfully in Cologne, and has experienced arthroscopic surgery on the breaking in the right wrist, has received a titan screw implant. He will try to comeback in three weeks time at Bruenn.

Former 250cc World Championship runner-up Ralf Waldmann will be riding for the Viessmann Kiefer Racing team at Donington as a substitute for Vladimir Leonov.

Vector Racing Team pilot and the only Russian in MotoGP Vladimir Leonov competed in Italian Gran Prix, i.e. the fifth round of the world motor racing championship, in the 250cc class. Unfortunately, technical problems kept the 22-year old pilot from finishing in his debut MotoGP season.
